There’s not a week that goes by that someone doesn’t ask me how iCloud, or more specifically iCloud Drive, works. Finally, iMore has released a thorough breakdown of everything concerning the service. I’ll refer everyone to their articles.
The trouble with iCloud Drive is that so few feel that they can trust it. I remember that from the early days of Dropbox that most people trusted that service. Has Dropbox let a significant portion of people down? I don’t think so.
But I had a troubling syncing issue with iCloud and my text files in October. It wasn’t the first time, but it was the most threatening. For that reason, I’m not using Drive for another year while hopefully Apple makes significant reliability improvements. ∞
