Crayola Crayons: 1903 to Present

Michael Lopp posted the Crayola Color Chart. In a timeline there are colors available from 1903, 1935, 1949, 1958, 1972, 1990, 1998, and 2010.

In 1903, Crayola sold just eight colors: black, brown, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, and red. Today, there are 120 colors: including 23 reds, 20 greens, 19 blues, 16 purples, 14 oranges, 11 browns, eight yellows, two grays, two coppers, two blacks, one white, one gold and one silver.

Currently their labels only come in 18 colors for all 120 shades.
