Review of Lucy

Words are wasted to recount such a disappointing sci-fi flick. Lucy, starring Scarlett Johansson and Morgan Freeman, is an attempt to put flesh and bones on a materialistic worldview.

You are probably familiar with the scientific fallacy that humans only use a small percentage of their brain’s capacity. This is a popular fallacy that research has disproven more than once, yet it still gets around. Well, Lucy wouldn’t work in the slightest if you didn’t buy into the fallacy. Enough said?

The action, thrills, and sophisticated voice of Mr. Freeman are wasted in this unrelatable story. And I’m not saying that the thrills or action were all that great either, but that the attempts were even a waste.

That said, I enjoyed reflecting on Lucy for a few minutes, and if you are thinking about the film, think through it with me. Read my review at MovieByte.
