A La Carte (May 30)

Reeder 2.0 for Mac Released - Reeder was my entry into the lovely world of quick reads on the Mac. The gestures were cool, and the interface was polished. Now, it’s even better. But can it compete with ReadKit?

A text editor that’s powerful in its simplicity - Speaking of words of such, there’s a new text editor for the Mac. Leafnote keeps it simple (maybe too simple in version 1.0) but it has a good foundation. Writers, wait at least ten seconds before you buy yet another writing tool…

A Mini Cooper unlike any other - They call it the Mini Touring Superleggera Vision car. It’s sleek, new, retro, and a designer’s dream. Here’ an excellent introductory video and image gallery.

If PCs were made in the 1950s They’d Look Like This - Dave Schultze is a graphic designer and modeler that set out to design a steampunk/retro computer. I don’t necessarily see the steampunk quality to his fabircation, but the modeling is attractive. I could see a computer like this selling today in limited edition, like the 20th Anniversary Macintosh.
