A La Carte (May 23)

Shawn’s Review of OmniFocus 2 for Mac - This is exhaustive, and covers in greater detail much of the same experience I have with OmniFocus’ suite. I especially appreciate Shawn’s look at the app’s history.

Take a Tech Sabbath - If you know anything about Judaism and Christianity, you might be aware they hold services on Saturdays and Sundays (separately, and respectively). The idea is a good one for them for other reasons besides getting Bible lessons, like taking a day of rest. For the gadget-er, a Tech Sabbath is a good idea too.

The Hellish Desert Pit That’s Been on Fire for More Than 40 Years - The title sounds like link bait, but if you are fascinated with the strange places on planet Earth then you will want to check this article out. I especially enjoy the bit about spiders.

This LEGO Robot Solve a Rubik’s Cube in a Record 3.25 Seconds - “This is the CubeStormer 3, which just hauled in the Guinness World Record for analyzing and solving a Rubik’s cube in 3.253 seconds. It’s made out from LEGO, magic, the devil, children’s dreams, children’s nightmares and an ARM processor — the type you may or may not find in your smartphone or tablet.”

Accessibility Features on iOS - Steven Aquino wrote up some good settings every iPhone user should be aware of. In terms of functionality—what your phone does or doesn’t do for you—these are some helpful settings.
