Quickly Make Text in Pages Highly Readable

You ever get files from friends and coworkers they want you to read that aren’t easy on the eyes? I do. I frequently take their content and tweak it with just a few clicks and keystrokes to make a readable view of their text.

This is really easy and you could use this process in any word processor. I prefer Pages as part of the Mac app family.

Even though a newer version of Pages is available, many files sent my way still use Pages ’09 since the writers haven’t upgraded yet. I don’t hold it against them, and why should I? I’m just going to read their text, so there’s no reason for my feathers to be ruffled if I have to open Pages ’09 to read alone.

Some people that I know would be more ridged, wanting the files in the text editor of their choosing and in the version of their choosing. For the sake of efficiency, “Don’t over-manipulate” is what I say to do. Just read the file as best as you can in the most readily available word processor. It won’t hurt you too much.
