This has been a busy week. I’m produced two podcasts, cohosted a third, and was a guest on a fourth.
Wednesday, I reviewed Disney’s new live action Cinderella with Mikey and Laura Fissel on Reel World Theology. Lily James and Cate Blanchett are marvelous in the leads. The costume design was stunning, while the sets and locations look like they came right out of Thomas Kinkade paintings.
But it’s the heart of the story, the performances, and the themes of this interpretation that make the eleventh Cinderella feature film adaptation worthy of the audience’s attention. This one feels like the quintessential Cinderella, the one by which all others will be judged.
